Why would you want a ClipRest?

The Martin Backpacker guitar is a great instrument and most of us love to take it everywhere we go. I have found, like many, that it can be a little tricky to play without a strap. This is why I designed the cliprest: so that I can play it on my knee like a full size guitar.

What is the ClipRest?

The cliprest is an essential accessory for the backpacker guitar. It clips onto the backpacker thus allowing the guitarist to play as if it were a full size guitar. Available for both left and right handed, it weighs in at only 0.5 kg. Constructed out of 3mm acrylic sheet which has been precision laser cut, it is assembled with welded mortised and tenoned joints. Once fitted it feels as if it is a part of the guitar, but can be easily removed. The ClipRest is available to purchase through our purchase section (above).
